Opinions differ when it comes to whisky drinking culture. First and foremost, you should enjoy your whisky the way you like it. However, there are a few tricks to perfect your whisky enjoyment:
Whisky should be drunk at room temperature. If you prefer your whisky chilled, here's a little tip: chill the glass, not the whisky. Do you prefer whisky "on the rocks"? Then it's best to use large ice cubes or whisky stones, because large ice cubes don't melt as quickly. This way your whisky won't be diluted and will retain its intense flavor. Have you ever wondered what swirling the glass is all about? The basic idea of swirling is that the whisky gets oxygen more quickly. This awakens hidden aromas.
