Organix
Ritzenhoff shows green character!
The new Organix collection with wine, water and champagne glasses is not only very stylish, it also shows green character. The glasses are produced in the company's own glass factory in the Sauerland, i.e. "Made in Germany". During glass production, large quantities of sand, soda, potash and a few other ingredients are melted into glass. For the production of glass at Organix, around 45% recycled glass is used, which consists of shards that usually arise during production. These shards are cleaned and melted down again, which means significantly less energy is used and saves resources.
The packaging of Organix is not only visually different from the usual Ritzenhoff packaging. The cardboard has the FSC MIX seal, which means that it is made from materials that come from exemplary managed, FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources. The Organix cardboard also consists of around 30% grass fibers, which are produced from fast-growing grass. All in all, the Organix collection has paved the way to a much more sustainable production of glasses and packaging. And that's just the beginning.
The decoration on the glasses is printed with organic colors. With these colors, the decorations are fired at lower temperatures than with conventional colors. This saves energy. The colors are also dishwasher safe, which every user is happy about.
