Ink, nibs and dip pens. Philip Harris is fascinated by the use of classic drawing tools. Whilst studying illustration, he inherited a collection from his grandfather – a legacy that still shapes his visual language today. His style is characterised by precision and the play of light and shadow, for which he repeatedly draws inspiration from his native Devon: Wild landscapes and ancient folklore, which he imaginatively combines in detailed drawings. It is a combination of tradition and modernity which he is now staging for Ritzenhoff.
