The Success Story of the Designer Glasses
It was in 1992 when the idea for the first designer glass was born: The iconic milk glass was the first glass and laid the foundation for the successful Ritzenhoff collections. Milk itself became the white canvas for the designs, created by some of the world’s most renowned designers. As soon as they were presented to the public, they caused an indescribable hype. The goal of creating something entirely new and extraordinary and inspiring people with it worked brilliantly. Soon, other glasses for beer, champagne, and wine joined the milk glasses. Everyone had to have a Ritzenhoff glass, and top designers were lining up to create a Ritzenhoff glass. Today, there is hardly a drink for which Ritzenhoff does not have the perfect glass. And the list of our designers reads like a Who's Who of the art scene: Ettore Sottsass, Alessandro Mendini, Achille Castiglioni, Piero Lissoni, Arik Levy, Anna Gili, Antonio Citterio, Coop Himmelblau, Enzo Mari, Fuksas, James Rizzi, and many more – they have all brought their creative ideas to a Ritzenhoff glass.
